I’m usually loath to get out from behind the camera. But in this case … I had to. I mean, if you ride a camel to the pyramids, you HAVE to get a photo of yourself in that situation, right?
Did the last three weeks really happen? Really? I mean … seriously?
Anyway, what you saw while I was gone (with the exception of the entry about the pyramids and the Sphinx) was what I had typed up from the itinerary given to everyone on the trip ahead of time. There were a lot of “I don’t know what this is, but it sounds cool!”-type entries.
If this blog was a painting, those were the broad brush strokes. Now, I’m going to fill in all the little details and really paint a picture … with words. And photos.
So stick around. In the coming days/weeks/months, I’ll be posting stories, antedotes, photos, observations and ruminations on my three-week trip. It won’t be in any real order, either; it’ll just be whatever I wanted to blog about at the time.
Updates might be a little slow, initially, though. I still haven’t seen “The Dark Knight” and am really having a hard time dealing with that. So we’ll need to set a few hours (twice, thrice, whatever it takes) for that. Then your (not really) regularly-scheduled postings will resume.
Stick around.
